Cake Ingredients:

  • 3 Cups Sugar
  • 3 Cups Flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 Cup butter, softened
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 325. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and beat at low speed for 1 minute. Scrape sides and mix at medium speed for 2 ;minutes. Put batter in greased and floured bundt pan. Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Cool cake and drizzle with lemon glaze (recipe below)

Glaze Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup powdered sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

Stir first 3 ingredients until smooth and add lemon zest if desired.

***Note: We double the lemon juice in both the cake and glaze for more lemon flavor****
